Castle Crag is the name of a small summit in the valley of Borrowdale in the English Lake District – a place which separately we have both been nurtured and inspired by.
The hard work of climbing to the summit, and the route decision-points along the way, all end in the satisfaction of achievement and the delight in the view from the top – a view which Alfred Wainwright described as part of the 'loveliest square mile in Lakeland'. It’s just like a coaching session: the excitement and effort can yield wonderful results.
